All measures are in place to meet the common needs like drinking water, health care and sanitary services of the devotees arriving in Anuradhapura and Plonnaruwa during the Poson season.
Anuradhapura District Secretary D.P.G. Kumarasiri said that the Poson Festival Committee under the patronage of Atamasthanadhipathi Venerable Pallegama Siriniwasa Thera has discussed in depth on the arrangements for the convenience of devotees who arrive at these sacred sites for veneration during the Poson season.
A special security programme will also be implemented for the safety of the devotees due to overflowing reservoirs in the two districts.
