Public Order and Christian Affairs and Disaster Management Minister John Amaratunga and Deputy Minister Niranjan Wickramasinghe in a condolence message stated that they were deeply saddened to learn of the passing away of Most Ven. Udugama Sri Dhammadassi Rathanapala Buddharakkitha of the Mahaviharawanshi Shiamopali Maha Nayake of the Asgiri Chapter of Sri Lanka.
The Mahanayake Thero rendered a great service to the Buddha Sasana as well as for the harmony of all religions.
