The shortcomings prevailing at the Sri Pada National College of Education were discussed at length at a meeting held by the State Minister for Education V. Radhakrishnan and National Colleges of Education Commissioner A.C.D. Dharmasena.
The meeting was held during an inspection visit made by the Commissioner of National Colleges of Education and State Minister for Education to the Sri Pada National College of Education. They assured to sort out the identified shortcomings of the College without further delay. The Commissioner of National Colleges of Education also noted that Cabinet approval has been received to increase the 2,500 rupees granted to the residential students of Colleges of Education to 4,000 rupees.
