He said the Education Ministry has received a large number of complaints from parents since issue of the circular in this regard. Out of these complaints they have identified 10 schools where illegal collection of funds have  continued, and action has been initiated against those Principals and teachers, the Minister said.

 

Accordingly, Minister Kariyawasam further said that the Ministry has already taken action to transfer the Principals and Teachers of National schools who are involved in these acts  from the respective schools or to attach them to Zonal offices  pending preliminary investigations.
