Japan’s Ambassador in Sri Lanka Nobuhitho Hobo has expressed willingness to grant Japanese technology to the Sri Lankan cinema.
This was disclosed by the Japanese Ambassador during a discussion with the Minister of Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunatilake at the Ministry.
Also the Ambassador brought to the notice of the Minister the progress on the agreement reached by Japan with the previous regime on Television Digitalization.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
