Police Media Unit said that the special operation to nab motorists under the influence of liquor during the festive season was successful.
The Police have arrested 660 drunk drivers from December 24 to 29 and among the arrested were 335 motorcyclists, 227 Three-wheeler drivers, 43 motor car drivers, 20 lorry drivers, 20 van drivers and 5 private bus drivers.
The special operation to apprehend drunk drivers which commenced on the 24th of December will continue till 5th of January 2015. (KH)
