District representatives and provincial Managers representing all Non-Governmental Organizations in the Nuwara Eliya District participated at the meeting. The progress of rural development programmes, community development programmes and physical development programmes undertaken by the NGOs for the Nuwara Eliya District during the year 2014 were reviewed. Also while expressing their views on the proposed development activities for 2015, they also appreciated the cooperation extended by the Nuwara Eliya District Secretariat in carrying out their projects.
The contribution made by NGOs to uplift the livelihood of the estate community is commendable.
