An exchange of documents formalizing this joint collaboration arrangement was signed by Transport Ministry Secretary Dhammika Perera and Roslan Shariff, the Managing Director of Maju TMAS, a member of the Maju Group of Companies.

The Government has already embarked on a mega development programme of transforming the Colombo to a main economic hub as well as a beautiful City within Asia. Accordingly the joint collaboration is based on a platform for technology transfer and shared experience and expertise.

The joint collaboration was pursuant to visits by officials of the Ministry of Transport of Sri Lanka to Malaysia with a view to studying various modalities to transform the public transportation infrastructure in Sri Lanka.(ST/KH)
