Stable leadership is essential for the stability of the country

Minister for Youth Affairs and Skills Development Dullas Alahapperuma said that the people should think about the stability in the country not only once but twice and therefore power should be invested in a firm leader in a firm party.

This was stated by the Minister yesterday (03)at a press conference held at the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Headquarters. The parties connected to the common candidate expressed different views on the Executive Presidency which are contrary to each other. It clearly shows that there is no stability at all in this group, the Minister said.

President J.R.Jayawardena who wore the mantle of the Executive President in the past has shown by example the conduct of the Executive President. Minister Alahapperuma further said that the former President Chandrika Kumaratunga who now appears on political platforms should under-study President Jayawardena’s behaviour.(NJ/KH)
