The Ministry of Water Supply and Drainage has taken steps to speed up the construction of Kundasale - Haragama Water Supply Project.
Kundasale - Haragama Water Supply Project has been proposed to address the severe shortage in drinking water faced by the domestic and the commercial consumers in the rapidly developing and expanding areas falling under the proposed Water Supply Project.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
