The possibility for afternoon thundershowers over the Island, particularly in the Northern, Eastern, North-central and Uva provinces from 23rd September is high.
Tonight: Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Western provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Eastern, Uva and North-western provinces. Heavy falls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa province and in Galle, Matara and Kaluthara districts.
Tomorrow: Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Western provinces. Several spells of showers will occur in North-western province. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Eastern and Uva provinces after 2.00 p.m.Fairly heavy falls about 50 mm can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces.There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
