Steps have been taken to improve human and physical resources at the hospitals in Hambantota.
The Hambantota District has a General Hospital and three Base Hospitals, 9 Rural Hospitals and 6 Primary Healthcare Centres.
A special programme is being implemented to improve health facilities of these hospitals. It aims to provide a better quality service to the public.
