Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m.

Showers may occur in the Western Province and in Puttalam District and along the southern and eastern coastal areas in the morning too.

Heavy falls (about 100 mm) can be expected at some places (particularly in the Central, North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Vavuniya district).

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
