Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m.

Showers may occur at several places in the Southern and Eastern provinces in the morning too.

Fairly heavy falls (above 75mm) can be expected at some places (particularly in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in the Mannar district).

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces during the morning.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
