The Ministry of Hill Country New Villages, Infrastructure and Community Development has planned the program ‘Tikiri Shakthi’ for 1,000 children today (1st Oct.) to celebrate The International Children’s Day.
It will be held at 9.30 a.m. at the Cinecity Hall, Nuwara Eliya under the patronage of Minister Palani Thigamparam.
The program will be a significant occasion for children as it will lay the foundation to eliminate malnutrition which is prevalent among plantation children aged between 2 and 5 years. Funds for the program is allocated by the Ministry of Hill Country New Villages, Infrastructure and Community Development.
