Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts today (30th Sept.), Met. Department said.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the Uva Province and Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong gusty winds (40-50kmph) can be expected in the Hambantota District.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
