    Rs. 51, 000 Mn for Hospital Development in Kalutara District

    The good governance government has spent Rs 51,000 million to develop the hospitals in Kalutara District, said Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senaratna. This amount of money has been spent to develop Base hospitals, District hospitals and other hospitals of the district including Kalutara General Hospital.

     

     

    He made these comments at the progress review meeting of Hospital Development of Kalutara District held at the District Secretariat recently.

     

    Minister Senaratna said that the accident ward, child and maternity hospital, the ward complex, stores and the dialysis unit will be developed according to a plan. An automated MRI scanner as well as a CT scanner will also be given to the Kalutara Hospital.

     

    Ten Ambulances and Eight Cabs will be given to the hospitals in the district while three buses will be given to the Kalutara National Institute of Health Sciences.
