The Met. Department said that cloudy skies could be expected at most parts of the island.

Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Northern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy falls (about 75mm) can be expected at some places in the Uva, North-central and Eastern provinces.
