Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and North-Western Provinces today (11th July).
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva Province and Jaffna and Batticaloa District after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces and Bibila area.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
