Minister of Power and Renewable Energy and organizer for the flood relief work in Weligama Electorate Ranjith Siyambalapitiya instructed the officials to hand over the Mid and Long Term Report to minimize the natural disasters in Weligama electorate to President Maithripala Sirisena within five days and get the remedies.
He made these comments during an observation tour in Walipitiya and Weligama Divisional Secretariat Divisions.
Minister Siyambalapitiya said that except for lives lost, the government will provide everything else and also implement a program to ensure the mental happiness of the affected people.
During the recent disaster, the highest power outages were recorded from Matara District. By now 99% has been restored while the balance too will be restored soon.
