Minister of Housing and Construction Sajith Premadasa recently granted ‘Visiri’ housing loans for 1,500 low-income families, and sets of vocational training equipment for 250 youths in Kurunegala District under the ‘Silpa Saviya’ initiative.
According to the minister, a program will commence together with the government officials at district, divisional, and rural level to collect details of the public and thereby implement housing programs.
He also assured the plans are in force to establish ‘Uda’ villages for each sector such as art, indigenous medicine, media, government employee, and youth by 2025 under the ‘Samata Sewana (House for All)’ initiative.
