According to the Examinations Commissioner W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara, six schools will be closed completely for G.C.E.(A/L) examination evaluations while some sections of another 21 schools which will be used for evaluation of examination papers will be closed during school hours. The completely closed schools will reopen on 13th September and others on 31st August as scheduled.

For grade five scholarship examination evaluations from 29th August to 3rd September, 35 schools will be closed completely while some sections of another four schools which will be used for evaluation of examination papers will be closed during school time. Those 35 schools will be reopened on 5th September and others on 31st August as scheduled.
