The government is planning to use the Hambantota port for oil bunkering.
Since the government doesn’t have the required funds to do it on its own the government is planning to sign an agreement with the Chinese government to assist in building the bunkering facilities.
The Chinese government will give the construction to Chinese companies said Minister of Health Nutrition and Indigenous medicine Rajitha Senarathne recently in Colombo.
