Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation will take steps to increase the fine for the ticket-less train commuters.
Currently, the ticket-less travelers are fined with Rs. 5,000 and this is expected to be increased up to Rs.20, 000.
According to the Minister of Transport Nimal Siripala de Silva, there is a considerable increase of the ticket-less commuters day by day.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
