Sixth-phase of awarding “Virusara Privilege Card” to war heroes was held on Saturday (30th April) at the Magampura International Convention Centre in Hambantota under the patronage of the State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardane.
A total of 1,002 beneficiaries including 642 from Army, 194 from Navy, 91 from Air Force, 67 from Police, and eight from Civil Security Department received the “Virusara Privilege Cards” at the occasion.
Secretary to the State Ministry of Defence, A.P.G. Kithsiri, and a large number of officers of tri-forces and distinguished guests participated.
