The third generator was shut down after a leak was found in one of its boilers on April 11.
According to the Ministry this is the 25th time the Norochchcolai Power Plant had malfunctioned since it was incorporated to the national grid in the year 2011.
Steps have been taken to prevent such breakdowns in the future and within about three days they were able to restore the power generation of the plant after maintenance and repairs.
The Chinese-built power plant has three generators, each adding 300 megawatts of power to the national grid.
