But until then, showers or thundershowers will develop in Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-central provinces areas after 2.00 p.m. and will spread to the Western, North-western and Southern coastal areas later, according to the Met. Department.

During the thundershowers temporary localized strong winds are expected and public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
