The Cabinet has granted its nod to implement the Agrahara Insurance Scheme to grant expanded benefits. It will be operative granting benefit for retired public servants.
The Prime Minister appointed a Committee to expand the health insurance benefits to public employees and their families through the Agrahara Insurance Scheme.
The Cabinet approved the implementation of the Agrahara Insurance Scheme with expanded benefits including retired officers, according to the recommendations of this Committee.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
