Ministry of Housing and Constructions plans to initiate 25 housing villages in all districts under the Yovun Sevana Progrmme to provide houses for young families who do not have permanent houses.
The first village of the programme Ran Thurunu Gama will be initiated in Dambulla today (April 02) in line with the Yovun Puraya programme, organised by the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) on a concept of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
As the second phase of the Yovun Sewana programme, the ministry also plans to establish 330 housing villages covering all DS divisions island wide.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
