The delegation was briefed by senior officials of the BOI who described the country’s ease of doing business and strategies relating to attracting investment into the country. Finland is particularly interested in the area of Research and Development and this area of investment is also of interest to the BOI as currently most investments into the country are involved in production rather than R & D.

The BOI were represented by Ms. Renuka Weerakone, Executive Director (Investment & Promotion), Dilip Samarasinghe, Director (Media & Publicity), Ms. Nilupul de Silva, Director (Promotion).
