A meeting was held today to review the progress of the "VIRUSARA" ranaviru special rewards card project at the Ministry premises Tuesday (08). State Secretary of Defence Mr. APG Kithsiri chaired the meeting.
During the session, progress of the "VIRUSARA" special rewards identity card project was lengthily discussed including the privileges offered to the patrons, data base, website, media campaign and also of matters related to the official launching of the card.
Defence Ministry officials, tri-forces, police, CSD and Ranaviru Seva Authority representatives were also presented at the meeting.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
