The Chinese Government is ready to impart its knowledge in technology and printing industry to the local state and private media personnel assured a group of officials of the Chinese National Publication and Promotion Society, during a meeting with Minister of Parliament Reforms and Mass Media Gayantha Karunatilake.
President of the Chinese National Publications and Promotion Society Guo Zhia Oin announced at this meeting that they wish to get down a group of 100 members representing the state and private media to China and to impart them knowledge on China's new Technological methods and printing industry.
Secretary to the Media Ministry Vajira Narampanawa was among those present at this meeting.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
News.lk publishes in three languages – Sinhala, Tamil and English.
