Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, the Minister of Higher Education & Cultural Affairs, for the development activities such as the construction of a Laboratory complex including Lecture halls for the Faculty of Agriculture of the Rajarata University, the construction of canteens at Mihintale Student Hostel Premises, the construction of Stage I of the New Arts building of the University of Colombo, the development of infrastructure facilities of the new Faculty of Healthcare Sciences at the Eastern University, the construction of Stage I of the Faculty of Allied Health Science building of the University of Ruhuna and the renovations at the main building premises of same, with an investment of Rs.3,690.42 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
