Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Matale, Nuwara-Eliya, Polonnaruwa, Hambantota and Matara districts.
Fairly heavy showers about 75mm can be expected at some places in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Matale, Nuwara-Eliya and Hambantota districts.
A few showers may occur in the Northern province and in Anuradhapura district.
Fairly strong winds of (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Northern, Eastern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
