The Ministry of Education has announced that the second school term for government and government-approved private schools commenced today (20).
Accordingly, the second term for Sinhala and Tamil schools begins today, while Muslim schools resume the fourth phase of their first term.
The first term for Sinhala and Tamil schools, along with the third phase of the first term for Muslim schools for the year 2026, concluded on April 10.
