More than 150 kilograms of heroin worth over Rs. 400 million has been seized by the Sri Lanka Navy during a deep-sea operation, Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekara said.
The raid was carried out about 400 nautical miles south of Sri Lanka, leading to the arrest of four suspects along with a multi-day fishing vessel.
The stock was brought to Dikovita Fisheries Harbour today (17). Authorities stated the operation was conducted with support from multiple agencies through coordinated intelligence efforts.
