Northern Railway Line to Resume Full Operations from April 9

The Department of Railways has announced that restoration work on the Northern Railway Line, which was damaged by Cyclone Dittwa, has now been completed.

Accordingly, train services along the Northern Line are scheduled to resume from April 9, operating from Colombo Fort to Kankasanthurai.

Furthermore, the department stated that seat reservation facilities have been made available from April 4th  for the train departing Mount Lavinia at 5.15 a.m. to Kankasanthurai, and for the intercity express train departing Kankasanthurai at 1.50 p.m. to Mount Lavinia.
