The Department of Labour has announced alternative dates for individuals who were unable to obtain services on Wednesdays, following the government’s decision to declare the day a public holiday until further notice.
In a statement, the Department said that those who had reserved appointments on Wednesdays to access services related to the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) will now be accommodated over the next four working days Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Accordingly, individuals can visit the relevant offices on these days to complete their service requirements.
The Department further stated that services such as obtaining EPF benefits, claiming the 30 percent withdrawal, deceased member benefits, and AH registration will be available during these rescheduled days.
This measure has been introduced to ensure uninterrupted access to essential services despite the revised weekly holiday schedule.
