Indian Naval Ship INS Airavat Arrives in Sri Lanka for Operational Requirements

The Indian Navy vessel INS Airavat arrived in Sri Lanka on June 1 to fulfill operational requirements and was accorded a traditional naval welcome by the Sri Lanka Navy upon its arrival at the Port of Colombo.

INS Airavat, a Landing Ship Tank (LST), is commanded by Commander I.P. Patil.

During its stay in Sri Lanka, the ship’s crew is scheduled to participate in several programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy and visit a number of places of interest across the island.
