The Government Information Centre Sri Lanka (GIC) has introduced a special WhatsApp service to assist vehicle owners who require support in registering for the National Fuel Pass.
Accordingly, individuals facing difficulties during registration can obtain assistance by following a simple process. Applicants are required to send their vehicle number (typed text only, not as an image) to the WhatsApp number 076 000 1919.
In addition, clear images of the following documents must be submitted via the same number:
National Identity Card (NIC), driving licence, or passport
Valid vehicle revenue licence
Vehicle registration certificate (CR)
The GIC emphasized that only the registered owner of the vehicle is eligible to apply. The identification number provided must match the details stated in the vehicle registration certificate.
All personal data submitted will be protected in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022. The information will be collected solely for validation purposes, and once the verification process is completed, all personal data—except the vehicle number—will be securely removed from the system.
