Fuel Shipment Arrives in Sri Lanka Amid Global Energy Crisis

Amid the ongoing global energy crisis triggered by the military situation in the Middle East, a fuel shipment ordered by Sri Lanka has arrived in the country, the Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation Sri Lanka announced.

The Hong Kong-owned vessel Seafrontier reached the Kerawalapitiya Fuel Terminal yesterday (17) morning and successfully unloaded part of its fuel consignment.

A portion of the shipment was later transported to the Dolphin Jetty in the afternoon and subsequently transferred to the Kolonnawa Fuel Depot.

The vessel carried 17,000 metric tons of 92 octane petrol, 18,000 metric tons of diesel, and 2,800 metric tons of super diesel, helping to support the country’s fuel supply during the current global uncertainty.
