The Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation has announced that a new train service called “Ella Odyssey” will start operating from today (10) between Nanuoya and Badulla Railway Station.
The train will run from Nanuoya to Badulla every day of the week except Tuesday at 8.10 am and from Badulla to Nanuoya at 1.00 pm.
First class reserved seats can be booked for Rs. 7,000.00, second class reserved seats for Rs. 6,000.00 and third class reserved seats for Rs. 5,000.00.
The train will also run slowly at Elgin Falls and Summit Level, stopping for 6 minutes at Idalgashinna Railway Station and 10 minutes at the railway station.
