The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced that water supply will be suspended to several areas in the Gampaha District tomorrow (11) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Nittambuwa, Kandahena, Mapagolla, Kongasdeniya, Pinnagollawatta, Kolawatta, Gorakadeniya, Ranpokunagama, Ranpokunagama Housing Scheme, Bataliya, Attanagalla, Pasyala, Urapola, Dikkanda, Mittigammana, Maimbula, Makalana, Haggalla, Elawala, and Ellamulla.
The suspension is due to cleaning and disinfection work on the transmission pipeline from Nittambuwa to Minuwangoda, which supplies water to the Gampaha, Attanagalla, and Minuwangoda combined reservoir.
The Board has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and urges consumers to use water sparingly during this period.
