    1. Memorandum of Understanding between the National Institute of Labour Studies and Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational Collage (Document No 08)

    The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by H.E. the president Maithreepala Sirisena to sign a Memorandum of Understanding  with Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College China , on conducting short term foreign training programs concessionary basis for selected groups of students in the National Institute of Labour Studies.

    1. Transferring the land where the Unawatuna Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre of National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (Document No.10)

    This land is owned to the Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by H.E. the President Maithreepala Sirisena, to assign this land to the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board enabling the construction.

    1. Relief to house owners who were affected by water leak in main tunnel of the multipurpose project Uma OYa.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by H.E. the President Maithreepala Sirisena in his capacity as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment to continue the Housing Rent allowance presently paid for them  for a period of further three months.

    1. Memorandum of Understanding with Asia Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation, in order to convert finas forests in Sri Lanka in to forests with local plant spices.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by H.E. the President Maithreepala Sirisena in his capacity as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment to implement this project using the grants provided by the Asia Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation during the period of next three years.

    1. Resettlement of Internally Displaced Families. (Document No. 13)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement and Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs to secure funds to purchase lands form private owners based on the  Chief Valuer's valuation for these resettlements.

    1. Amendments to the regulations issued under the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act No.43 of 2000.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Finance and Mass Media, to present the gazette notification No.2014/09 dated 31.12.2018, which is consists of the provisions regarding annual payments, for parliamentary approval

    1. Approval for the Amendment bill prepared to increase approved capital of Peoples' Bank .

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Finance and Mass Media to present the bill drafted to increase approved share capital of Peoples' Bank up to Rs. 50 billion for parliamentary approval.

    1. Establishment of SAARC Handicraft Development Centre in Sri Lanka.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Rishar Bathiudeen Minister of Industry & Commersce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons, Co-operative Development and Vocational Training & Skills Development to establish SAARC Handicraft Development Centre under the aid of SAARC Development Fund.

    1. Reorganization of Rural Housing Committees.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, Minister of Housing and Constructions to go beyond the Gram Niladhari Division level and establish village level rural housing committees  (Community Settlement Committees) in all sub villages in the country. 

    1. Amendment to Merchant Shipping Act, No. 52 of 1971 in accordance with International Marine Organization's Conventions.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Sagala Rathnayake, Minister of Ports , Shipping and Southern Development to gazette the drafted bill revising the Merchant Shipping Act No 52 of 1971 and consequently present it for parliamentary approval.

    1. Supply and installation of Air Conditioner and Mechanical Ventilation Systems for No.08 Building in Army Headquarters Construction Project Complex, Akuregoda.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by H.E. Maithreepala Sirisena in his capacity as the Minister of Defense to award this contract to M/s Frigi Engineering Services (Pvt.)Ltd

    1. Construction of four story building for the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddist Studies of the University of Kelaniya.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education to award this contract to Sathuta Builders (pvt.)Ltd for Rs .393 millions.

    1. Construction of Building Complex for Faculty of Health Care in the Eastern University of Sir Lanka.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education to award this contract to International Constructions Consortium Pvt.Ltd. for Rs. 2,887.95 million (without tax) .

    1. Construction of  48 roomed  Hotel for Waters Edge Company Battaramulla.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to award the contract for the construction of small luxury hotel at Battaramulla Waters Edge Hotel premises to Sathuta Builders Pvt. Ltd. for Rs. 1,2888.7 million.

    1. Developing the land in Peliyagoda, that required for proposed housing project designed for low income people

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to accomplish these activities by the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation under a cost of  Rs. 217.34 million. 

    1. International Consultancy Service for Mundeni Aru River Valley Development Project

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. P. Harison, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development to call for proposals from local and foreign consultancy institutions and appoint a Consultancy Committee to assess these proposals in order to select an experienced consultant for this purpose.

    1. Reconstruction of Ampara Deegavapi Stupa

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, Minister of  Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs to obtain SL Army's Labour Contribution on this regard.

    1. Reconstruction of Railway Line from Mahawa to Omanthai

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Arjuna Ranatunga, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation to award this contract to M/s Ircon International Ltd. for USD 91.3 million. 

    1. Hosting 'The Indian Ocean – Defining our Future' Minister Conference

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the combined proposal presented by Hon. Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe and Hon. Thilak Marapana Minister of Foreign Affairs to host 'the Indian Ocean – Defining our Future' Minister Conference and Senior Officers Conference  at the end of year  2019.

    1. Conducting "Enterprise Sri Lanka" Exhibition at Anuradhapura and Jaffna

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Finance and Mass Media to conduct second enterprise Sri Lanka Exhibition in Anuradhapura and third exhibition in Jaffna under the theme of "Government Vision 2025" under the financial patronage of private Sector.
