    16 schools within North Central Province to be developed

    Action has been taken to expedite the development of 16 schools within the North Central Province. The purpose of this effort was to minimize congestion in leading schools in the Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura Districts, North Central Chief Minister Peshala Jayaratne said.

    Chief Minister Peshala Jayaratne and Secretary to the Education Ministry Upali Marasinghe visited some schools in Polonnaruwa to examine their present status. The visit enabled them to look into the facilities available in schools in the Welikanda, Aralaganwila, Lankapura Education Division.

     

    The North Central Chief Minister said that the development of 10 rural schools in the Polonnaruwa District and six rural schools in the Anuradhapura District will be expedited on the direction of the President.
