In a diplomatic ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat, the newly appointed High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Santosh Jha, presented his credentials to President Ranil Wickremesinghe, marking the official commencement of his tenure in Sri Lanka.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has made significant administrative changes with the appointment of new secretaries to ten ministries and the assignment of two chief secretaries to two provinces. These appointments are slated to become effective from January 1, 2024.

A meeting took place this afternoon (21) at the Presidential Secretariat between President Ranil Wickremesinghe and the Members of Parliament representing the Tamil community from the North and East.

A few showers will occur in Northern, Eastern and North-central provinces and in Matale and Badulla districts.
