    A range of essential utility vehicles worth of over Rs.450 million were handed over to the Colombo Municipal Council by Secretary to President Lalith Weeratunga on the invitation of Secretary, Ministry of Defence and Urban Development  Gotabaya Rajapaksa r at a ceremony held at Ministry premises on Wednesday (10).  The vehicles were handed over under the Metro Colombo Urban Development Project.

    SIYB ​(Start and Improve Your Business) ​Association of Sri Lanka an affiliation of International Labour Organization will be launching a new training product of SIYB family called, “Foundation to SIYB” as a celebration of its 10th anniversary.

    To alleviate the hardships faced by the people in the Uva Province, the government has implemented several major irrigation projects.  Accordingly, President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Wednesday (10), visited  the Rideemaliyadda DS Division in the Badulla District and inspected the construction work being carried out under Morana reservoir  irrigation project.  He also inspected ongoing work on the 6km length canal on the right side of the reservoir. .

    Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has said is open for a dialogue with the Tamil National Alliance (TNA).
