Most Venerale Panditha Na Uyane Ariyadhamma  Thero,  Great Meditation Teacher and Spiritual Director of the Sri Kalyani Yogasharama  Sanstha was appointed as Anu Nayake of  Ramanya Sector and presentation of credentials took place at a ceremony held on 23 September, 2014 at  Gnarama Thripitaka Dharmayathana at Meethirigala, Dompe, under patronage of Most Venerable Napane Pemasiri  Thero, Mahanayake of Ramanya Sector. Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa presented the Eight Monastic Requisites to newly appointed Anua Nayake Thero.

On 18th September 2014, the Supreme Court dismissed the Fundamental Rights application filed by Sujeewa Arjune Senasinghe of Colombo 3 against the Monetary Board complaining that the Central Bank, in purchasing Greece Government Bonds, had acted in an unlawful, irresponsible and an arbitrary manner.
