President Mahinda Rajapakse said the government is taking measures to upgrade education system in Sri Lanka by increasing IT literacy and language skills among students according to a proper plan. He said with this objective in mind one thousand Mahindodaya Technologica Laboratories are being constructed in schools island-wide.
The newly constructed Tourist hotel “Hotel Camrol” in Kurunegala was declared open by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Friday (10).
President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Minister of Education of Sri Lanka, Bandula Gunawardana, and High Commissioner of India, Y.K. Sinha, jointly inaugurated a Language Lab in Wayamba National College of Education, Bingiriya on Saturday (October 11) Minister of Petroleum Industries, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, Chief Minister of the North Western Province, Dayasiri Jayasekara, Member of Parliament, Shantha Bandara, Chief Commissioner (Teacher Education), M.D. Dharmasena and several senior Government Officials were present on the occasion.
