Ven. Murungasyaye Gnaanissara Nayaka Thero of the Buddhist Jetavana Vihara in Paris delivering the sermon highlighted the noble truth of Lord Buddha’s teachings in nurturing and guiding ones own life to a better way. Ven. Gnaanissara Thero citing Maha Mangala Sutta added the necessity of training of the mind during one’s own lifetime as mind precedes everything and determines one’s own cycle of sansara.
The Buddhist sermon was followed by a Pirith session with the participation of Ven. Rajakeeya Panditha Mapalagama Vajira Thero.
The event was attended by the Sri Lankan community of all religious backgrounds and notably several foreign nationals who follow the Buddhist path.
The Buddhist Sermon which coincided with the Nawam Full moon Poya Day provided a valuable opportunity for those who are miles away from their motherland to listen to noble Dhamma.
